Fight for your Faith, Part 1 77. (Dad:) You are a [spiritual] force to be reckoned with! Once you get out there fighting you have the power, through the Lord's power working in you, to freak the living daylights out of the Enemy! 78. Don't you want to see that look of horror on the Enemy's face, that absolutely petrified expression when he realizes that he has gotten himself into a fight that he can't win? I sure do! I love to get stirred up against the Enemy! I relish not just setting him back on his heels, but leaving him so bedraggled and injured that he can barely drag himself off the battlefield. 79. Right now the Enemy's out there with his battering rams, landing one blow after the other, hoping to see the walls of your conviction crumble. Don't let that happen! Show him that you're fierce, ready-to-fight warriors, who will not take this attack lying down. Fight back first; ask questions later!
80. For every impact of his battering rams, send him a volley of blazing arrows and
cannonballs that inflicts so much damage and pain, he'll think twice before even
attempting another bash against your walls. He's a coward to the core, whereas you are
warriors to the core! So show him your stuff. Get him quivering in fright. I mean it!
81. He's puny and pathetic, so don't let his booming propaganda warfare get the
better of you. Boom your conviction and faith and devotion so loudly and strongly in
response that you'll get him and his underlings disheartened and retreating in fright.
82. Take the offensive! Get stirred up! You've got God on your side, for goodness
sake, so what in the world are you worried about?! Show Satan you're powerful in
Jesus. Show him that you're not afraid of those battering rams of doubts, discouragement, and
lies. Push them back into the Enemy's ranks and cause such confusion and mayhem that your
opposition turns on each other, slaughtering each other.
83. You've got that kind of power, so show them who's boss!
*
84. One day you will sit upon a throne (Rev.20:4). One day you will be able to wish for whatever you desire, and it will become reality. One day you will revel in unimaginable wealth. One day you will be perfectly formed and beautiful, perfectly strong and fit. One day you will luxuriate in every good pleasure that appeals to you. One day you will know a love and happiness so complete, so all-encompassing, so perfect that it is unimaginable to you at this time.
85. These relatively childish illustrations are the only way I can convey even a
fraction of the splendor, glory‚ perfection, and completion that awaits you in the realm
beyond. You, who are now small, now weak, now weary, now persecuted, shall inherit the
very Kingdom of God.
*
86. You have the spirit of a warrior! Let Me repeat that: You have the spirit of a warrior! So let that fighting spirit take you over and get aggressive in spirit against the attacks of the Enemy. Block his lies and doubts with your spiritual armor and weapons. That's what it's there for, to deflect every attack launched against you, and more so, to be the instruments of war within your hands to bring about the Enemy's demise.
87. Forget about the bumps and bruises and scrapes you've suffered so far;
strap on your fighting garb and get ready to charge into the battle.
88. You've got just what you need: 89. * You have your helmet of salvation to remind you that you're Mine and that you're fighting for My cause. Your helmet is firmly attached and cannot be removed, and it'll protect your head from the bullets and shrapnel flying around.
90. * You have your shield of faith to block and deflect any volley of doubts or lies fired
against you. Make sure you're covering yourself well with that shield, not only to protect
you from the shots being fired at you, but also to get those bullets ricocheting back into the
Enemy's ranks.
91. * You have your breastplate of righteousness. Think of that as a bulletproof vest
that's keeping you protected from the Enemy's fire. His bullets may sometimes
destabilize you momentarily, but ultimately you're protected by this breastplate. Remind
yourself that you're fighting for My righteous cause.
92. * Your loins are girded about with truth. So let the truth be known; it's part of your
weaponry against the Enemy.
93. * Your feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. That doesn't mean
that you're a pacifist and are going to take this lying down. Rather that makes your feet
another weapon that you can use to march forward, claiming the Enemy's territory.
"Every place whereupon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours"
(Deut.11:24). Go claim some territory! Don't just regain what you had; conquer more, make a
serious incursion on any territory the Devil was foolish enough to think he'd gained.
94. * Best of all, pull out that white-hot sword of the spirit--all your spiritual weapons
combined--and hack away at the Enemy's ranks. Don't give them a chance to even lift
their puny swords.
95. Do you want to make history? Here's your chance! Make history in Heaven and in
Hell. Make Satan rue this day as one of defeat for him, while Heaven rejoices in the
victories of My valiant and fearless soldiers of the End. With Me on your side, you are
invincible, so go out and prove it!
*
96. When Satan comes to tempt me, I will take my stand. When words spewed forth rock my faith, I will take my stand.
When his doubts and lies confuse me‚ I will take my stand. When he tempts me to quit, I
will take my stand.
When his words seem so convincing, I will take my stand.
When he causes me to question my beliefs, I'm gonna take my stand. When I feel overwhelmed
by his accusations‚ still I will take my stand.
When his attacks are personal and hurt me, I'll take my stand.
When his influence is tempting me to doubt Your words, I'm gonna take my stand.
When others around are losing their faith, I'll take my stand.
I will take my stand and will not give in to his puny attempts to try to overthrow my
faith.
I will take my stand and show the Devil what I'm made of.
I will take my stand, for it is not I that live, but You, my Love‚ who live in me.
I'll take my stand, for I have all Heaven fighting for me, with legions at my
command.
I'll take my stand, for it is battles like this that bring out the fighter in me.
I'm gonna take my stand and rejoice in the battle, for victory is assured.
I'll take my stand and remind myself that I am destined to win many to Jesus, and this is
why the Devil hates me and tries to
fight me.
I will take my stand and love this fight, brandishing the keys and the new weapons made
available to me.
I will take my stand‚ for I have joined the ranks of those that have gone before me who
have been persecuted for righteousness' sake.
I will take my stand and not go back on it, for it is in standing my ground that the Enemy of
my soul finds himself trembling and running in defeat.
I will know no defeat, for I have taken my stand.
*
97. (William Wallace: ) When you wield the Word of God, you let our dear Lord and Commander in Chief do the fighting for you, because He is the Word of God. 98. I tell you that your weapon is only as strong as the arm that wields it. One blow from a strong man is worth more than five from a weak one. Make your blows count by strengthening your arms. The Word of God is what will give you the strength to fight. So if you want to increase the strength of your arms, immerse yourself in Jesus, the Word of God, and you will find the strength to wield the keys turned to swords that will fight through you with His truth and strength.
99. You can't pay too much attention to the Enemy and his words, regardless of who
he may use to speak them, because if you do, you'll only be weakened in your resolve and
purpose. Be resolute in your convictions and know what and in whom you believe. Only
those who know what and whom they believe will have the strength to weather the storms of
opposition.
100. So stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand up, stand up for the Family! Stand
up and be counted among those who know whom they have believed‚ and continue to march on
strong in the power and might of our Lord!
*
101. The Enemy hates the winning of souls and the reaping of the harvest in the fields
where I have sent you. There's so much potential, so much to do, so many people
who need to be reached and who can become disciples.
102. He attacks you because he doesn't like the work you're doing today, and
he's even more scared of the work you're going to do in the future. He
doesn't even like what you're doing now, much less what you're going to do once you
all put a renewed focus on saving souls and winning disciples! That's what the whole war
boils down to. You're doing a great work for Me, and the Devil is trying to stop you.
103. He'll use whatever he can to get you to stop, whatever negative or
discouraging tactic he can think of. If it will make you doubt and question Me--good,
he'll use that. If it will make you doubt or question your place in the Family--great,
he'll take it. If it will make you question your leaders or shepherds--that's
wonderful, just what he needs. He can say whatever he wants to say or use whatever excuse or
motive he wants to, but in the end it's all about stopping you as a Christian from doing
the work of winning souls and reaching the world with the Gospel.
104. The Enemy doesn't care about you. The Enemy doesn't want to help
you to be happier or more fulfilled. He just wants to make sure that whatever you do,
you're not an active Christian.
105. Remember that next time you're feeling a little confused by the latest attack of the Enemy. The goal is to get you to stop serving Me and doing what you're doing for Me. Thus‚ when it comes down to it, that's the choice you have to make in your heart every time you're attacked: Are you going to keep serving Me and remain an on-fire active Christian or not?
106. It's pretty simple when you look at it that way.
*
107. Just because someone else's wine skin has grown old and brittle and can't
hold any more, that doesn't mean that yours is old and brittle. You will always be
able to hold more if you continue to stretch and receive the new and deep truths that I have
for you today, of which there are many more to come.
108. Don't let anyone put you in the mold of their old brittle wine skins,
attempting to chain you to the past and usurp the freedom that I have given you to follow Me
wherever I lead. I am freedom, I am newness‚ I am a moving God! There is so much
more yet to come, so much yet to be discovered and revealed!
*
109. (Dad:) Every great man or woman has had their adversaries. Because they were really making a difference in the world and accomplishing great things, people fought them, as did the Enemy. If you were doing nothing, if you were living a worthless existence, if you were so wrong, then you wouldn't be under fire. How many soldiers get attacked at home, while at peace? Very few.
110. You're at war in the spirit. The Evil One has declared war, and so
help me God, war is what we'll give him! Are you with me? Will you stand up proudly to
defend your faith or back down from the challenge? Now is the time to show the damn Devil what
happens when your faith is challenged! Will you stand with me as fellow warriors of the
faith?
111. You may feel down‚ but you don't have to be defeated. Rise up!
Draw swords with me and raise a standard to drown out the voice of Satan.
112. I commission you. This is your day of battle. I know I can count on you!
The day of battle has come! Let's march bravely to the front lines and show the Devil's
imps what we are made of.
*
113. (Spirit helper:) Welcome to the ranks of the warriors. Welcome to the company of heroes. This is what we do. Whenever you face an intense fight that seems stronger than ever, you can know that this is the kind of battle we specialize in. Now you know what it's like to join the big time. No more piddling around in puddles; you're in the deep end, and now you know what it's like to fight real battles for your faith!
114. These are grown-up battles, real-world wars. Welcome! We've been
waiting for you. These trials that you're facing right now are a rite of passage for you,
as you become seasoned men and women of God. It's a test to see if you're worthy to
join our ranks. Every warrior with his or her name on the Hall of Warriors had to face fierce
tests, but they fought and overcame. They rose to the challenge, they stayed true to their
faith. Everyone has battles of one kind or another, and these tests of standing up for your
faith and fighting for your convictions and holding true to your calling are among some of the
fiercest that the Evil One launches on the Lord's children.
115. Nothing comes without a price, and these tests of faith are part of contending for
your faith. But the rewards you receive in return, the fame and glory in Heaven, are
well worth it. The battle isn't easy‚ but it's worth it. If you hold out and
conquer, you'll be able to brag about this battle, and it'll be the first of many such
glorious conquests.
116. Welcome to the big time, where real battles are fought and won. No more
simulations, no more training exercises--the real thing. This is where wars are
fought‚ and won or lost. This is the real world, and we are your companions‚ and
count it an honor to have you join our ranks. All the great warriors of Heaven are rooting for
you and praying that you'll make it. We all remember what it was like, and we know what
glory comes after you pass these tests, so we're all cheering for you.
117. If you could only see what is going on in Heaven! We've gathered in
the Hall of Warriors by the thousands. We're cheering for you--yes‚ you! You're
on our viewer, and we're watching you, praying for you, praying that you'll stand
strong and receive the power to rise up and fight.
118. We're all behind you! (Shouts:) YAAAAAA!!!! Someone just rose to
their feet and has taken up the challenge! A mighty roar of praise rose from the courts as you
took the stand and chose to fight. More, yes more, are rising! Look, can you see them?
They're going to make it! You're going to make it! The tide of battle is turning as you
and your friends rise up. We stand with you as the mightiest warriors of history. We're all
with you, cheering for you, at your beck and call. (There is a mighty roar in the hall.)
That's it! Do it! Get up! You can do it! You can win! You can fight. Take up your saber, my
young apprentice, and fight! Oh, what joy, what glory. Shouts of celebration ring through the
halls!
119. Everyone in the hall rushes over to another viewer as a 13-year-old makes up her
mind that she's going to fight for her faith. She's going to get up and fight!
A huge shout of victory rings out.
120. Jesus is right here in front. He leaps onto the table: "You see
that, Satan? They're not listening to you. They're rising up. They're taking up
their weapons, and I have won! We win! Let's get'm, folks! Let's go. Let's give
them all the help we can."
121. (Vision:) It's as if I'm looking at a video of someone talking into a
camera while riding; it's bumpy and rough. The person I've been talking with
is a two-braided Viking with a giant double-edged battle axe in his hand.
122. He's not riding a horse; he's riding a huge leopard! From a
distance I can see the troops pouring out of Heaven, with Jesus leading the charge. Thousands
and thousands of warriors are pouring out of Heaven with weapons in hand, shouting and spoiling
for a fight.
123. (Spirit helper continues: ) We've been waiting for this moment.
We've been waiting for you to make the decision to fight, and just look at what we're
willing to commit to this battle! We're pouring out of the heavenly gates by the thousands.
Can you see us? We're coming to your aid. We're coming to rescue you. We're pumped
up and ready for a fight. Give us the floor. Let us take over for you and fight for you. Just
make the decision to use our power‚ and we'll rush in and use all of our years of
battle experience to fight for you.
124. You're not alone; so far from it. We're on your side! As
Elisha's servant saw the Lord's army, those that are with you are more than those that
are with them (2Kings 6:15-17)! The greatest warriors of history are rushing to your aid. Where
do you want us to attack? We're ready to fight on your side in spirit. Let us smash, crush,
pummel, slice, and hack to pieces these dastardly doubts of Satan! We stand with you and we
cannot lose!*
125. It takes a lot of guts and courage to buck the System and to stand up for the truth when the truth is being attacked and questioned. That's the kind of courage it takes to be My disciple. It's always taken a spirit that is determined to stand up for the right and the truth, whatever the cost. From the very beginning, My true disciples have faced persecution, ridicule, criticism, shunning and harassment. But despite the attacks, faith in My name grew, multiplied, and spread, which shows how puny the power of the System is‚ and the power of the Enemy that controls it.
126. Nothing on Earth or in Hell could stop My revolution, and nothing will
stop yours either, as it's fueled by My Spirit and powered by My words of truth! Even
though this spirit and truth is entrusted to fallible, weak human vessels‚ the excellence
of the power is Mine. I do not require perfection, only hearts committed to Me and to reaching
the world.*
127. (Martin Luther:) The most crucial task that befell me in my sojourn on Earth was that of "having done all, to stand" (Eph.6:13). I made my historic stand, through the grace of God, and told the world, "Here I stand, I can do no other." Do not think that it cost me little or nothing to take that stand--it cost me everything! But it was worth so much more than it cost, as it changed the future of my day and I fulfilled my destiny.
128. The truths I was given to share with the world of my day were entirely radical,
and I was surrounded by enemies, those who sought to kill me‚ as well as people who
twisted my words and used them to foment a bloody civil revolt rather than the spiritual
revolution and reformation that I preached. This twisting of my words and intents had
catastrophic results, as tens of thousands lost their lives in the bloodbath that followed. I
was tempted to give up when I saw the mistakes I had made, in not taking more care that my
words could not be wrested out of context. My intentions were good, but my understanding of the
nature of man was limited.
129. Satan often screamed in my ears, trying to condemn me for my rigid stance against
the Church's loveless law and the concealment of the grace of salvation from the
people. I battled the criticisms of family, former friends, and received the blame,
condemnation, and even damnation of the Church. Many wanted me to bend, compromise, and take a
more "reasonable" stance.
130. Yet God had revealed His truth to me and He expected me to fight for that truth,
even as He has revealed to you the truth of His Word, pure and unadulterated, and is calling
you to make a stand for it. He used David to peel away the layers that crusted the
truth and masked it from the people. He gave you precious gifts of the spirit through your
Maria. He liberated you from the traditions of men that were of no effect, even as He used me
to liberate the people from the traditions that kept them from truly worshiping God.
131. Men and Satan don't often take kindly to having their perception of reality
stripped bare and the truth revealed in all its shocking purity. So do not expect a
lot of well-wishers in this world. Even though many of the truths the Lord revealed to me
eventually became widespread, I remain a controversial character to this day. Some call me a
reformer, others call me a heretic. Some of my more radical words were even removed from
circulation, which is just as well, as not everything I wrote was well explained or well
balanced.
132. I had a choice to make when my faith and the truth I was commissioned to give came
under siege: I could either give up and forfeit my place as a world changer‚ or
I could stand up, armed with every spiritual weapon at my disposal, and take a stand for the
truth. I took that stand, by the grace of God‚ and that stand became my celestial reward
and my legacy.
133. Every great man or woman of God, every world changer, faces that moment of truth,
and probably a number of them throughout their lives, when they have to choose to either make a
stand for the Lord, by His grace alone, or capitulate to the criticisms, lies, twisting of the
truth‚ and sometimes even the truth of past mistakes or errors. This stand is
for the Lord and His truth, and by His grace, because it will never be built on the perfection
of men. If I had based my stance on my perfection, I would have been lost, and would have
capitulated to the Enemy's allegations and criticisms. But the Lord's truth holds, even
if 10,000 stand against it‚ and even if those who proclaim it are imperfect beings.
134. It is your time to take a stand, putting on every piece of armor, wielding your
spiritual weapons of the faith, and standing boldly against Satan and against his status quo
and every evil tactic he sends to move you from your place. Stand firm, my friends,
and you will soon be advancing and pushing him and his ilk backwards, while you forge ahead
into the lands of the future of God's promises
*
135. You are the heirs and heiresses of a vast spiritual fortune! There are many dark forces that would seek to prevent you from fully discovering this fortune, and they will stoop to any level to do so. They will try to make you believe that it is not there. They will try to make you believe that it is not that valuable. They will try to make you believe that it is not really yours. They will try to make you believe that you are not who you have been told you are. They will at times form a tight-looking case, complete with ample documentation and plenty of confusing and yet believable "legalese."
136. Don't fall for it! Look beyond the apparent logic, the seemingly plausible
arguments, and look at who's arguing this case. Has the Devil ever cared for you?
Has he ever provided anything of value for you? Has he fulfilled many promises to you?
137. Compare that with Me. Have I ever told you anything that wasn't true? Have I
ever made a promise that wasn't fulfilled? I have not, and I never will. You are
who I have said you are. You are destined to inherit the promise of great spiritual and even
physical wealth. You are the heirs of My Kingdom. You will rule over cities and countries. You
will work miracles and command great power!
138. Don't let yourselves be cheated out of your great fortune through cunning and
lies. Look beyond the words. Look at those who speak them. Look at the deeds. Decide
in your heart and mind which side is to be trusted. You will see the truth if your spiritual
eyes are open. Even if it doesn't seem clear immediately, if you stick with Me‚ in
time it will become clear, and you will be so glad you did.
*
139. (Dad:) The Enemy is the author of confusion (1Cor.14:33)! He's the one who comes sneaking along with some supposed new truth about what you've always believed and held dear. He used the same tactics in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, saying, "Hath God said?" Imagine‚ with the first two people created by God, who had seen God and talked to Him and walked with Him, Satan tried to cast doubt in their minds about the things that God had said!
140. The Enemy tried to get Adam and Eve to doubt the Lord and His motives and His
plans. "Did God say you shouldn't eat that fruit? Well‚ He just
didn't want you to be like Him, to be as gods, and gain all that knowledge and wisdom that
you're going to gain by eating it." Imagine the gall of the Enemy--but also imagine
the gullibility of Adam and Eve! How could they fall for such a line?
141. Well, that might be a good question to ask yourself sometimes, when someone, even
a friend, comes up with something that gets you confused about the truth you've held dear
all your life. Why should you take on the doubts and confusions from the author of
confusion? Recognize the doubts and skepticism and lies for what they are, and slam the door on
them!
142. The Enemy is a liar, and the father of lies! Lies are his specialty, and
he has the devilish wisdom to coat them with a little layer of the truth so that you'll
swallow them--but they'll be bitter in your stomach and poisonous to your system because
they're from Hell, and no good thing comes from there!
143. So lift a standard against the lies and tales that cast doubt on what you've
always believed. When the Enemy comes in like a flood, lift the standard of the Word and the
Lord against him, and kick him right back out! If it's not according to the Word,
if it's bearing bad fruit in your heart and life, if it goes against the grain of
everything you've believed in and lived for, then it's not the Lord. Kick the serpent
out and tell him to slither off and not bother you anymore‚ that you're not
interested in tales from his crypt!
144. Have the conviction to stand up for what you know to be right, and don't fall
for any of this "Hath God said" stuff. Believe the truth, stand up for the
truth, live for the truth, and reject the lies and half-truths! You know what the truth looks
like. So when a counterfeit comes along, you can just examine it closely, laugh, and tear it up
like the worthless trash that it is, fit only for the garbage can! Choose the good and boot the
bad, okay? I love you!
*
145. (Dad:) Don't get scared by the Enemy's "boo!" You've heard that kind of thing a lot, but you know, it doesn't look like it does in the comics. You're not going to see a little horned Devil with his little pitchfork jump out from behind your bedroom door and go "Boo!" It's going to be a lot trickier, a lot more subtle, so you've got to see it for what it is.
146. I can see it from here. It's just the Enemy trying to scare you, discourage
you, and get you to quit. And it's working on some of you. Some of you are letting
that damn Devil get to your hearts and minds and worry you and distress you and get you to
doubt and fear and even believe some of his lies. The answer is in refusing to listen to him
even for a minute, and turning right around and strengthening your connection with Jesus. Let
the light in‚ and the darkness will flee.*
147. (Dad:) If something destabilizes you, take it to Jesus right away! Tell the Devil: "Get behind me, Satan! For it is written: Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve" (Mat.4:10).
148. That's what soldiers do. When the enemy attacks, they hit him back!
They don't sit around listening to his propaganda and start questioning their place in the
army every time someone takes a shot at them. Come on, have some guts and some courage!
Don't even entertain the idea of turning back. Jesus is your Lord. He's your God.
He's worth serving, and He's worth believing and loving and giving 100 percent of your
life to.
*
149. (One of the *Knights of Victory: ) We step out from the shadows. We step out from the Other Side to remind you that we surround you. We are by your side. We were designed and created for such moments as these. We were designed to fight, and that is what we know best. We do not relate to the way of the coward or the timid; we only know how to draw our swords and fight. (*See Wine Press 96 and 97 for more)
150. You have been brought to battle‚ so you must fight. The only other
option is surrender, but such a despicable word doesn't exist in our vocabulary. What do
you have in your hand? You have the power of God, and you have all that is good on your side!
So why are you allowing the Enemy to sway you and distract you?
151. Of course‚ what he says sounds convincing, for you must be tested.
If for no other reason, this opportunity has presented itself because you must be tried, you
must allow yourself to see that the words that have been spoken many years ago are true, that
all who live godly will suffer persecution (2Tim.3:12). But will you let this little bit of
persecution try your faith to the point that you have forgotten that it is the Devil that
should be on the defensive and not you? The Devil and all his ilk are trying to see what
you're made of. They're trying to prove that you're not strong enough and that you
won't hold out through the battle, that this test will be too tough for you. He's only
kidding himself, though.
152. So what are you waiting for? We have no time to lose! As soon as you
determine that you will see the battle as it is, that the Enemy is attempting to steal your
faith right out from under you, then you will realize that you're meant to fight back and
not just hand over what is rightfully yours. He has no claim to you and your faith. Tell him
so, and then get up and fight!
153. Come join us, and brandish your weapons. Don't let your faith fail,
but be strengthened. Then you will feel the hot fighting serum of David burning within you,
your spirit being protected, and you will be unstoppable in your mission to turn the darkness
to light.
154. Fell the lies and darkness of the Enemy! Come and wage war with us, for
we are on your side! We are the Knights of Victory, and victory alone is what we know! But we
need you. Fight with us and put the Enemy back in his place--in Hell‚ where he belongs!
*
155. (Dad: ) The Word has stood the test of time. It's stronger than any force that exists. It'll be alive and thriving long after those who now attack it have passed away. This battle is about defending you from the Enemy's blows to your spirit. He wants to stop you before you become undefeatable. See? You must be doing something right, otherwise the Enemy wouldn't bother with you. Show him that it's a mistake to try to manipulate your feelings. Show him that you won't let an attack on your happiness screw up your future!
*
156. (Dad:) This Family was built on One Who was persecuted, afflicted, ridiculed, betrayed, denied, hated, and despised. We have patterned our lives after His and we have made His beliefs our own. He has become our complete religion, so who's to think that we will not also experience the very things He suffered, the very betrayal and persecution He endured, the very hatred and slander that He received (John 15:18-20).
157. We are as different from the world as night is from day! The world will
never understand us. In fact, they don't want to. They don't want to try to understand
us, because that would destroy all their former beliefs and mindsets and shatter their little
frames of reference.
158. Those who speak out against us and against our Lord are those whose minds are too
small to fathom the greatness of God, whose hearts are too hard to receive the
fullness of His love, whose spirits are too dull to experience the completeness and richness of
His Spirit.
159. They are like fish in a shallow pond, refusing to believe that there exist
creatures that can fly, refusing to poke their little head out of their shallow existence to
see the wonder of the sky above. Why should we be pulled down to their lowly level
when they tell us, the creatures of flight, that the skies we live in are insane, the winds we
sail on are not dependable, and that our wings are incapable of keeping us in the air? Why
waste our time with some obviously laughable opinions, when we have already proven all those
words false and ludicrous?
160. We live in a sky that God has created for us--one perfectly suited to our needs
and our lifestyle. We sail on winds that have carried all of God's men and women
since the beginning of time--the winds of His words, the winds of His love, the winds of His
infinite care. And our wings, which represent our faith, are capable of facing and braving
every challenge‚ provided we use them and exercise them and continue flying daily with
them! Nothing can stop us! We can't be pulled down from our heights unless we choose to.
Only in listening to the simple-minded little fish in their pond of flatlander shallowness can
we be pulled away from our thrilling flights and our fulfilling missions!
161. But as for me and for my wings, I will continue soaring the skies of God's
great, eternal Spirit, sailing on the winds of His rushing words, riding high on the
breaths of His intoxicating love, and doing my part to further the work of God's glorious
Kingdom! How about you?

162. (Dad:) You've got to fight for your faith as if it were your most prized possession! You've got to fight for the Lord and for this Family and for the Word just as you would fight and defend one of your own younger siblings from being kidnapped. You've got to treat the Word, as well as your faith, with that same sort of importance, desperation, and passion.
163. You've got to realize that your faith and the Word are two of your most
priceless possessions. That's precisely why the Enemy is after them. You've
got to remind yourself that the Devil will never fight for something that is not worth having.
If it didn't matter to you, if it didn't matter to the Lord, and if it didn't
matter to him, then he sure as hell wouldn't be after it!
164. He's pretty much like a selfish, jealous child, who, when he sees one of the
other children playing with a toy, decides that that's the one he wants. When the
Devil sees that the Lord, your Father, has given you a very special possession, a very special
gift--such as the Word and your faith and your place in this Family--he gets raging mad and
jealous! He doesn't want you to enjoy those things, because he knows they're important.
If they're important enough for the Lord to give them to you, then they're important
enough for the Devil to want to take them away from you. Anything that the Lord gives you is in
some way needed to help you to defeat the Enemy. The Devil knows this!
165. That's why he's attacking your faith in the Word and the Family right
now. These things are important, both to you and the Lord, and this is why the Devil
wants them. Remember, if it wasn't important, then the Devil wouldn't be fighting for
it, he wouldn't be attacking it, he wouldn't be trying to get you to let go of it so
that he could claim it! Picture the Devil as a conniving, jealous child after your favorite
playthings‚ and that'll give you a good incentive to keep holding on to what
you've got and to not let go of it for a second! Neither give place to the Devil--don't
let him at it for even a second, or I guarantee you‚ he'll try to keep it from you
forever!

166. Satan, the Enemy of your soul, will launch crafty and vicious surprise attacks, hoping to damage and scatter you. He knows that you are the superior fighting force and that his usual frontal assault would fail miserably. So he has instead opted to use tactics of fear and confusion, and he's counting on you to fall prey to his dastardly, divisive plan.
167. For Satan to succeed, you have but to give in to the fear and turn tail and break
formation. You have but to give in to the confusion and doubt so that you are so busy
trying to make sense of it in your own strength that you forget to ready your weapons. He's
counting heavily on that, for without the vulnerabilities of human nature, his evil cause is
lost.
168. But as My elite troops you are beyond the vulnerabilities of human
nature. You may still feel fear, but you know you can overcome it with the shield of
faith, made from the invulnerable metals of My Word. You may be confused, but you know that
soaking in My Word can give you the clarity of mind you need in order to defeat the doubts and
confusion.
169. The Enemy sends strange lumbering beasts of doubt and fear charging forth to smash
and trample your ranks. Some of you have never seen such enormous, gruesome monsters
before, and your first reaction is to cower in fear or to stand upon the battlefield in awe as
they trample you under foot. But you are My elite troops and you need not give in to this
tactic of terror! It matters not what these beasts are or where they came from. All that
matters is that they must fall, and the weapons you hold in your hand right now have been
forged in Heaven, and can send these beasts crashing to the ground, or even doubling back in
fear and pain, causing destruction and confusion to their own ranks.
170. The battle is upon you. So stop what you are doing now and fall into formation,
soldiers! Lift your weapons, ready your shields, and begin to fight alongside your
brothers, to bring the Enemy to bloody ruin! Turn the tables of this fiendish attack and charge
at the Enemy. Let Satan and his minions remember this day with anguish, as the day his massive
assault of fear and confusion became his massive defeat, as his armies ran in fear and were
scattered in chaos!
171. Let this be the day all your brethren around the world remember as the days of
great victory--the days you readied your shield of faith by soaking yourself in the
Word, the days you armed yourself with the powerful promises from the Scriptures, the
days you skillfully wielded the modern weapons of the keys and prophecy, and drove those fools
into the sea!
