TheWinePress.org is a website for members and alumni of The Family International (formerly known as The Children of God). Since the founding of The Family in 1968, tens of thousands of individuals have served as missionaries in our international fellowship. The internet has been a means of renewing contact with many who we've lost touch with over the years and our hope is that this web site will provide an online meeting place and community for both current Family members and alumni. We also keep in touch with many of our worldwide Family members via a monthly magazine called "The Wine Press" which is a collection of New Wine, testimonies and news of the Family around the World. Jesus, on Christmas Praise

Jesus: Happy Christmas! It’s almost My birthday, and I want to celebrate this time with you. I want this season to be our season, a time when I pour down special blessings and gifts on you. I love giving to you even on My birthday, because I know that you deserve it.

I love to spoil you. I long to see you happy and celebrating this Christmas with Me, and I want to offer you joys of the spirit that will make this time even more special and unique. You have been through a lot this last year, you have given much to Me, and so I want to show My appreciation in return by doing something special for you.

In the last 20 or 30 years, fathers have become much more loving, friendly, and caring parents to their children. That’s the good news. The bad news is that many fathers are still so intensely focused on their work—and children—that they’re letting their marriages wither on the vine.

Night Diving, Jellyfish, and a Near-Death Experience

Maria: Someone sent me this excerpt of a book on near-death experiences. I found it inspiring and thought you would enjoy it too. The Lord has unique ways of getting people’s attention. I loved the point about prayer, too, and how this man’s mother had never given up praying for him. We might not know till Heaven what all our prayers have accomplished, but until then we know that it’s always a worthwhile investment to pray!
